Family Empowerment Program
This spring continues a productive, positive year of growth and support for the families of the Family Empowerment Program. So far, this fiscal year we have served 41 children and 37 caretakers (78 total clients) in the program. Most of these clients are in contact with the program in an on-going manner through the therapeutic support groups, advocacy, resource referrals, and individual or family crisis sessions. However, some of them are now only in contact with the program through letters and emails that arrive telling me about their new lives, having relocated to another city or state, left an abuser they have been trying to leave for years, or having gained empowering skills necessary to transition into a new life with their children. These letters are so important to me and reflect and affirm the importance of not only what we do, but how we do things at Youth Heartline.
We continue to grow to serve a greater number of families with improved services. The Family Empowerment Program continually
works to strengthen each element of the program and to better serve the families and children of Taos County. In service to these families, all of us at Youth Heartline greatly appreciate your support. In fact, we couldn’t do what we do without you.
